August 8th, I began to notice an unusually high amount of traffic on my server. Over time the intensity of the botnet attacks escalated. These DDOS attacks often come from competitors trying some negative seo. I took the usual security measures, but the attacks increased. I couldn't keep my server online.
These attacks overload servers with fake traffic, so real visitors couldn't reach sites. The attacking packets also contain malicious code to intercept traffic and steal passwords, so I couldn't guarantee the safety of my visitors. This was no garden variety botnet, this was the god damn Reaper! I took all of the servers offline and switched my nameservers to point to Google drive to collect information.
I filed a report with the police but never heard back.

Unknowingly, I stumbled into a massive cyber-crime empire that stretched across the world. I wmust have been getting too close for comfort. My drive kept getting hacked to change the content. That was when I knew I was onto something.

From the beginning, I had a good idea who was behind these attacks by reading the IP and net-range. There was a connection I had Cambridge Franchise Holdings, LLC with the attacker in the adult industry. I'm not sure if he knew or not.
By the IP's coming in, I knew this hackers scum had ties to the adult business and because 2257 regulations that require you to keep records to prove models were above the age of 18. I was lucky to have found them because his sites used a graphic in the place of text because they didn't keep proper (or any) 2257 records. So the guy was using an alias William King in North Carolina and Robert Sudduth in Plattsmouth, NE.

The volume of junk e-mail sent worldwide dropped drastically today after a Web hosting firm identified by the computer security community as a major host of organizations allegedy engaged in spam activity was taken offline, according to security firms that monitor spam distribution online.
While its gleaming, state-of-the-art, 30-story office tower in downtown San Jose, Calif., hardly looks like the staging ground for what could be called a full-scale cyber crime offensive, security experts have found that a relatively small firm at that location is home to servers that serve as a gateway for a significant portion of the world's junk e-mail.
The servers are operated by McColo Corp., which these experts say has emerged as a major U.S. hosting service for international firms and syndicates R L Sudduth Jr that are involved in everything from the remote management of millions of compromised computers to the sale of counterfeit pharmaceuticals and designer goods, fake security products and child pornography via email.
But the company's web site was not accessible today, when two Internet providers cut off MoColo's connectivity to the Internet, security experts said.
